DIRECTIONS
TO:
HG Rent Container Packing Warehouse,
Unit 7, Old Essex Works, Maybells Commercial Estate,
Ripple Road (A13), near Barking, Essex, IG11 0TP.
(Weekdays only 8am to 4pm)
FROM THE M11 & A406
(M25 NORTH / EAST):
Bear left at the end of the M11 onto the A406 (North Circular Road Southbound)
for 5 miles. At the roundabout at the end of the A406 get into the nearside lane
and turn left onto the A13 towards Dagenham. This is a dual carriageway with
a central reservation. Go through an underpass (do not follow any signs to Ripple
Road or Barking Town Centre) and over a fly-over for 21⁄2 miles (as you
go over the fly-over you will see three red and grey tower blocks on the left
hand side). Keep in the nearside lane after this (you will see a Texaco petrol
station on the opposite carriageway and an open Green to your left) and come
off of the A13 at the next slip road junction signposted for Dagenham East /
Hornchurch A1306. Turn right and right again at the two roundabouts underneath
the A13, past the entrance to the Hays Buildings, and back on to the A13 in the
direction from where you have just come. After a few hundred metres the screening
wall on your left finishes just past the end of the slip road. A 100 metres further
on is a large lay-by in front of a small office block (Judd House) which should
be pulled in to (you have gone too far if you get to the Texaco petrol station
150 metres later and you will have to cross the lights and go to the next roundabout
under a flyover to turn around and try again). At the end of the lay-by (do not
take the first turning that says Maybells at the beginning of the lay-by) there
is a Hand Car Wash Company and a sign saying A1 Commercials. There is a driveway
off to the left in front of these signs between Judd House and the yellow railings
of the car wash company. At the bottom (50 metres) there is a gate to the right
into the warehouse yard.
FROM THE DARTFORD BRIDGE / TUNNEL (M25 (Junction
30) SOUTH / WEST):
Head 5 miles towards London on the A13 past the massive Container storage depot
on the right and the Ford Factory either side of this main dual carriageway.
Take the nearside lane after the Junction at the large square white Building
as the road dips down from being elevated. Staying on the A13 you will pass under
a blue and white footbridge and there will be a high screening wall to the left.
To the right there is the Warner Leisure Village with a large Mecca sign. After
a few 100 metres the wall ends and there is a large lay-by in front of a small
office block (Judd House) which should be pulled in to (you have gone too far
if you get to the Texaco petrol station 150 metres later and you will have to
cross the lights and go to the next roundabout under a flyover to turn around
and try again). At the end of the lay-by (do not take the first turning that
says Maybells at the beginning of the lay-by) there is a Hand Car Wash Company
and a sign saying A1 Commercials. There is a driveway off to the left in front
of these signs between Judd House and the yellow railings of the car wash company.
At the bottom (50 metres) there is a gate to the right into the warehouse yard.
The warehouse has a large parking area in front of two container loading bays.
There are a few steps up to a blue doorway to the right of the loading bays
and Paul or Jim or Peter are the contacts there for cars. The warehouse is
open weekdays 8am to 4pm. Becontree Underground station is a 10 minute walk
up Gale Street directly opposite the warehouse across the A13 or it is a short
taxi journey to Barking station. |
